Duane Otte was born November 21, 1960 at Osmond Ne to J Stanley and Arlene (Luebbers) Otte.  The family moved to Columbus in 1969 and Duane graduated from Lakeview High School. He was employed at Behlen Mfg. since 1990.  That same year, he married Mary K. Nickels at Cozumel, Mexico.  Duane could be friends with anyone.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, canoeing, taking care of his lawn and Husker Football.  He was hardworking and loyal and would do anything to help anyone who needed it.  He took tremendous pride in doing his job well.  He was conscientious and honest through and through. He will be missed more than he could ever know.

Brother-in-law: Robert Nickels of Freeport, IL
