Duane Liss

Duane Liss, age 64 of Columbus died Sunday, June 16th at Columbus Community Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Thursday at St. Isidore Church. Visitation is from 5-7 pm Wednesday at St. Isidore's with a 7:00 pm Vigil service to follow. Visitation continues on Thursday from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Duane was born January 24,1960 in Columbus to Raymond and Evelyn (Koziol) Liss.  He grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1978.  Duane moved to California where he worked in the airline industry.  He returned to Columbus in 1995 to be closer to his family and care for parents.  In February of 2016, Duane was united in marriage to Sonya Koch.

Duane worked at at Prairie Village for many years and was currently working at Emerald Nursing and Rehab where he was very caring with the elderly and would put everyone's needs above his own. He enjoyed fishing, road tripping, attending and watching Husker football games, and hunting in his younger years.  Duane was very dedicated to the care of his mother Evelyn.

Duane was very amusing and always likely to make you smile or laugh.
