Duane Delp

Duane Delp, age 86, died Tuesday January 8, 2019 in Omaha.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am Monday at St. Isidore Catholic Church. There will be a 5:00 p.m. vigil service Sunday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is 3-5 Sunday at the funeral home and will continue Monday morning 10:00 am until service time at St. Isidore Church. Burial will be in the All Saints Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post # 84 Honor Guard.

Duane Delp was born March 5, 1933 in Battle Creek, Nebraska to Summit Brooks and Emma (Hefley) Delp. He grew up in Battle Creek where he received his education. He entered the United States Air Force in 1949 and served until his military retirement in 1969. He was married to Roberta Connor on November 19, 1951 in Omaha. They lived in many locations throughout his military career. In 1978 they moved to Columbus where Duane worked at NPPD until he retired. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Knights Of Columbus 4 ^th Degree.

son: Richard (Deanna) Delp of Cedar Falls, IA

daughter: Teresa (Quin) Delp of Omaha

son: Bill Delp of Omaha

8 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren

sister: Lois (Duane) Backes of Lindsay

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
