Douglas J. Micek of Lincoln died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday, August 9 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating.  Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 pm at St. Stanislaus Church with a 7:00 pm Vigil service to follow.  Visitation continues on Friday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church.  Interment is in St. Stanislaus Cemetery

Douglas J. Micek was born April 25, 1969 in Columbus, NE to Jack Lee and Rita (Dush) Micek. He grew up in Duncan and graduated from Columbus High School in 1988 where he participated in football and wrestling. Following high school, he worked for Welker Construction and Mueller and Shoepf Drywall. Doug moved to Lincoln where he started his own drywall business, Pro Finish Drywall.

Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, 4-wheeling, horse racing, shuffleboard, NE Football and the Kansas City Royals .
