Dorothy Wolfe

Dorothy Wolfe, age 87, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at her home in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is Thursday 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service all at the church . Burial is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Dorothy Ann Wolfe was born November 21, 1936, to Blake and Mary (Sheridan) Gladfelter in Columbus. She attended St. Bonaventure school where she graduated in 1954. After high school, Dorothy attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. On June 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to Lyle Wolfe at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. The couple enjoyed taking trips with their RV down to Yuma, Arizona.
Dorothy was involved with both of the red hat ladies in Columbus. She was a founding member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Dorothy was also a member of Bakers Dozen Extension Club, American Legion Auxiliary #84, and was a past member of Catholic Daughters of America.
Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, where she picked up the card players name of 'Miss Dottie'. She also enjoyed golf, getting flowers, and various camping trips to lake Okoboji. Dorothy was a huge Husker volleyball and football fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
