Dorothy Legenza

Dorothy C. Legenza, age 90, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Nye Point Health Center in Fremont, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Tom Weisbecker officiating. Burial is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service all at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Bonaventure Church or Donor's Choice.

Dorothy C. Legenza was born September 25, 1916 in Tarnov, Nebraska to Joseph and Mary (Gdowski) Ciecior. She attended St. Michaels School in Tarnov. On June 4, 1940 Dorothy was united in marriage to Felix Legenza at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Dorothy worked for Dale Electronics for 27 years until retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary, Franciscan Missionary Union and the V.F.W. #3704 Auxiliary.
