Dorothy Forre

Dorothy Forre, age 92, of Bellwood, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at Mory's Haven in Columbus.

Funeral services are 10:30 am Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Bellwood. Visitation is Tuesday 5-7 pm at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning 9:30 am until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Bellwood Cemetery.

Dorothy Forre was born February 8, 1927 in Bellwood, Nebraska to Henry C. and Gertrude (Smith) Romshek. She grew up in Bellwood where she graduated from Bellwood High School. She then attended business school in Lincoln.Dorothy married Glenn Forre in Bellwood on December 29, 1946 and to this union one son was born. She worked for many years with the Federal Land Bank in Columbus until her retirement. She was member of the United Methodist Church in Bellwood, United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of Union Veterans.  Dorothy is survived by her son, Thomas G. (Lynne) Forre of Lakewood, CO; sister Donna Mae Meyers of Ft. Collins, CO along with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Glenn Forre, brother: Henry Romshek and her sister: Mary Ann Petermann
