Dodie died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Morys Haven in Columbus.
Doris E. "Dodie" McDonald was born January 15, 1921 in Madison County, Nebraska to Frank and Eleanor (Otterpohl) Kohlund. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1938. On December 12, 1942 Dodie married Wesley McDonald in Papillion, Nebraska. She worked at Loup Power District, holding various secretarial positions for 10 years. She then worked for Wagner & Johnson attorneys and Johnson & Skorupa attorneys until she retired in 1983. Doris held various offices at St. Bonaventure Church in her early years. She and her late husband were charter members in the formation of St. Isidore Parish and served as team members of the Christian Rites program for converts for 3 years. She also served as lector for several years, was a Eucharistic Minister and became a Cursillo member in 1986. In recent years she served on the Parish Council and was a volunteer for the school lunch program at St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Son: Timothy (Gail) McDonald of Hastings, MN
Five Grandchildren: Joshua McDonald, Michael McDonald, Sara McDonald, Timothy Keogh, Lily Keogh
Two Great Grandchildren: Kaylin McDonald, Aiden McDonald
