Doris Knopik

Doris Lee Knopik of Columbus, born April 25, 1918 in Keensburg, Illinois. In loving memory of beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Doris went home to be with her heavenly father on October 25, 2005. Mrs. Knopik has resided with her husband, Richard Knopik of 35 years. She is survived by 3 children, Anthony Rice of Keensburg, Il, Rene Le Gier and Stephen Rice of Sacamento, CA. Two step-daughters, Diane Gomez and Kay Lynn Phillips of Las Cruces, NM. Eight grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Knopik slipped away Tuesday evening with her husband and three children at her side at the Beverly Healthcare Nursing Facility in Columbus where she has been confined for the last 4 months with complications associated with Alzheimers Disease. At this time there have been no immediate services scheduled. At the families request, please send memorial donations to the Alzheimers Research Foundation in lieu of flowers.
