Donna Heins of Columbus died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Donna Heins was born March 5, 1931 in rural Ulysses area to Ross W. and Margaret (Crapenhoft) Simpkins. As a child they moved into Ulysses where she attended Ulysses High School. Donna married Melvin Heins on March 10, 1948. She was the mother of 5 sons and 5 daughters and grandmother of many. Donna worked at various jobs in the Columbus area until starting a thriving in home daycare service. She loved flowers, gardening, entertaining her friends, and was an avid sports enthusiast.
