Donald Person

Don Person passed on February 19, 2014 at home with his family. He is loved and respected by family and friends. Don married Loretta Pollard on September 21, 1952 at United Methodist Church in Clarks, NE. They moved from Nebraska to Green River, WY where he worked for Union Pacific Railroad until entering the Army in 1953. He served with the Fourth Armored Division Field Artillery in Korea. He was discharged from active duty in 1955. He also served 6 years in the Army Reserve and was Honorably Discharged. In 1959 they moved to Columbus, NE where Don had his own livestock business actively working for over 50 years. Don has passed his knowledge of horses, rodeo and roping down to his family. His children, grandchildren and now his great grandchildren have been or are actively involved with livestock. He was a very lucky man in that he did what he loved and he loved what he did.
