Donald C. Munson, age 92, of Columbus, died Thurdsay at his home Columbus.
Donald C. Munson was born January 20, 1918 in Fullerton, Nebraska to Andrew and Sophia (Cutsor) Munson. He graduated from Fullerton High School in 1936. Don served in the United States Army as a Captain during World War II from August 25, 1942 until January 15, 1945. He was wounded in action at Anzio, Italy. He began his rehabilitaion at the V.A. Hospital in Lincoln. He also attended classes and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in journalism. Don married Mavis McMurray on December 22, 1946 in Kimball, Nebraska. Throughout his professional career he worked in many locations for the Veterans Administration. He eventually returned and served as the Director of the V.A. Hospital in Lincoln, where many years before he was treated and received rehabilitation as a wounded soldier. In November of 2007 he and his wife moved to Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
