Donald Jones

Donald C. Jones, 47, died Sunday April 21, 2002 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Funeral services are 10:30 am Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Silver Creek with the Rev. Bev Minor officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek. Visitation will continue at the Church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Memorials may be directed to the family's choice.

Donald was born on April 19, 1955 in Fullerton to Clarence and Dolores (Heins) Jones. He grew up on the farm outside of Silver Creek before moving into Silver Creek where he attended schools. He graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1973. On May 31, 1975 he married Sharon K. Peterson at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek. He farmed and worked for Becton-Dickinson in Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, spending time with his friends and family, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
