Dona Lee Ridenour died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Emerald Care Center in Columbus.
Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Highland Park Evangelical Free Church (4115 38th Street) in Columbus with Pastors Mike Escen and Kevin Bennett officiating. Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Eastern Star Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial is in the Roselawn Cemetery.

Dona Lee Ridenour was born April 6, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to Martin Charles and Ruth (Mace) Nelson. She was later adopted by Adolph Gebhardt. She graduated from Omaha North High School in 1950. On April 2, 1955 Dona was united in marriage to Edwin "Scoop" Ridenour in Columbus. Dona was a bookkeeper for Loup Engineering, Soil Movers, Columbus Medical Center, Bankers Life and Casualty and Platte Valley Veterinarian. She later owned and operated the Uniform Connection in downtown Columbus. Dona was a member of Highland Park Evangelical Free Church where she served as Secretary/Treasurer, Sunday Bible Class, F.W.C.M., sang in the choir and a member and past Honor Queen of Jobes Daughters. She was also past Matron of Harmony Chapter #13 Eastern Star, past president of Noon Lions Club and past president of V.F.W. Auxiliary. Dona was also a member of the Red Hats Society and the Harley Owners Group. She loved to spend time coloring, doing word searches, talking to her cat and playing games with her favorite grandchild, Christina.
