Dolores (Nickolite) Luchsinger passed away on March 11, 2021
Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 am on April 8th at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Dolores was born to Barbara (Lassek) and Ed Nickolite on November 10, 1929 in Chicago, IL. The family moved back to Columbus in 1930. Dolores attended the public grade schools until the 8th grade when she enrolled at St. Bonaventure Catholic high school where she graduated in 1947.
Dolores was employed at the J.C. Penney Co. in Columbus until 1950. She married Kent Luchsinger on May 29, 1950 and lived in Columbus until 1955 when Kent was transferred to Sioux Falls, SD. Dolores was an avid homemaker raising two daughters and two boys while moving to many locations when Kent had a job transfer. After living in Appleton, WI for nine years, Kent retired and they traveled full time in their motor home for five years. They first settled in San Marcos, CA, then spent nine years in Tucson, AZ.
After Kent passed away in 2013, Dolores resided with her daughter and son in law in the mountains of CO. In 2016 they moved to NC.

Son, Bruce (Barbara) Luchsinger, DeKalb, IL
Son, Scott (Karen) Luchsinger, Burnet, TX
Seven grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Ed Nickolite, daughter Kristine and husband Kent.
