Diane L. Fjell, age 69, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Columbus
Diane Lynn Fjell was born December 31, 1945 in Lindsay, Nebraska on the family farm to Ray and Mildred (Solso) Oberhauser. She graduated from Lindsay Holy Family High School in 1964. She then attended and graduated from Wayne State College in 1967. Diane later received her master degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She taught for four years in Schuyler. Diane married David Fjell on May 29, 1971 in Lindsay, Nebraska at Holy Family Catholic Church. She then began teaching for Columbus Public School at Lost Creek Elementary School. Diane then moved to North Park Elementary where she taught until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of St. Isidore Church, EMHC, CDA, Christian Mothers, CEC Prayer Group and a hospital volunteer in the gift shop. She continued to substitute teach, working with reading testing and impacting kids lives. Diane enjoyed travel, golf, cards, tennis and spending time with her friends at coffee and lunch. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a person of faith and God and walked by example.
