Dennis Mills

Dennis Mills, 79 of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home on December 5, 2025 surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be January 2, 2026, at 10:30 at McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Reception will be at First United Methodist Church in Columbus after the burial.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fountain of Sun in Mesa, Arizona at 2:00 p.m. January 10, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Dennis Ray Mills was born in Geddes, SD, on October 2, 1946 to Leonard (Bud) and Maxine Mills. He attended school in Armour, SD, then worked on the family farm. Around 1968, Dennis moved to Columbus, Nebraska. He worked many long years at the Schuyler Beef Packing Plant from which he retired. He then moved to Mesa, Arizona where he enjoyed driving his golf cart around, visiting his friends and family, going out to eat or having coffee with the guys.

Daughter: Denise Mills (Manuel)

Daughter: Brandy (James) Davis

Grandchildren: Jessica, Manuel, Elek, Owen, Ezekiel, Theodore, Ezra, Elizabeth

Great Grandchildren: Zekiah and Zeriah

Two Step Sons: Mike and Matt Harouff, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Siblings: Margie (C W) Burkett and Marvin (Pat) Mills, sister in law Janette Mills, brother-in-law Myles Ehresmann

Numerous nephews, nieces, and friends

Dennis was preceded in death by:

Parents: Leonard (Bud) and Maxine Mills

Siblings: Wayne Mills, Cora Ehresmann, and Glenda Pfeifer
