Deloris Benda of Bellwood died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Deloris was born July 4, 1919 in Columbus to William H. and Emma (Kipp) Beecroft. She attended Field Elementary School and graduated from Kramer High School in 1938. On October 10, 1939 she was united in marriage to Carl Benda at St. Joseph Catholic Church in rural Bellwood. They lived in Genoa, rural Shelby, and Bellwood. Deloris worked at the Shirt Factory and at Dale Electronics for 20 years as a material handler. Deloris was a member of St. Peters Church in Bellwood, American Legion Auxiliary in Bellwood, and the Red Hat Ladies in Bellwood. She loved to travel and was ALWAYS ready for a road trip as her bags were always packed. Deloris loved to make quilts, do crossword puzzles, read, and truly enjoyed being with her family and friends.
