Delores Schmit

Delores "Bibs" Schmit, age 74, of Bellwood, Nebraska died Monday, August 27, 2007 at the David Place in David City, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - rural Bellwood, Nebraska. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Joseph Church. Visitation continues Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial is in the St. Mary's Presentation Cemetery - rural Bellwood.

Delores "Bibs" Schmit was born March 14, 1933 in Columbus, Nebraska to Jack and Viola (Monteith) Kylius. She graduated from Kramer High School in 1950. Delores married Gerald P. Schmit on October 28, 1950 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. She lived on the farm west of Bellwood her entire life. Delores was a homemaker and enjoyed feeding her birds, playing cards, bowling and doing cross word puzzles. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and a past member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
