Delores I. Kodad

Delores died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Gateway Senior Living Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Delores was born in Primrose, NE on May 25th, 1927 to Peter and Frances (Allison) Liss. She attended school at Boone and Platte County and graduated from St. Edward high school. Delores married Edwin Kodad June 3rd 1947 at St. Edward Catholic church. She worked at Becton-Dickinson, Columbus High School kitchen and was a waitress for many years. She enjoyed her garden with Peas, Tomatoes and indoor flowers all year long. She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved hanging their artwork on the wall. She started the Liss family reunion and enjoyed seeing all her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her children; Linda (Kodad) Myers of Round Rock, TX, Kathy (Kodad) Duckworth of Omaha, NE and Bill Kodad of Beatrice, NE and 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband Edwin Kodad in 1988, two sons Scott Kodad in 1982 and Dennis Kodad in 2009. Delores is the last of 11 children of Peter and Frances Liss. Two brothers; Adolph Liss of Albion, Peter Liss of Omaha, NE and sisters Viola Martinsen of Primrose, NE Frances Zoucha of Underwood, WA, Elizabeth Miler of Albion, NE Rose Liss of Primrose, NE Pauline Labenz-Helbusch of Columbus, NE Mary Labenz of Fremont, NE, Irene Liss of Columbus, NE and one brother who died at birth.
