Delores Kneifel

Delores M. Kneifel of Columbus died Monday, December 23, 2024 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 27 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 26. There will be 4:30 p.m. CDA Rosary, all at McKown Funeral Home. Burial is in St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery.

Delores was born March 14, 1933 in Platte County, Nebraska to Benny and Laura (Rohrick) Hopkin. She received her education in rural country school, Bellwood and Columbus where she graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Francis Eugene "Geno" Kneifel in 1949 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Delores worked at Dale Electronic prior to helping in the family business, Kneifel's Champlin Service and later Geno's Ice and Minnow Mart. Delores was an active longtime member of Catholic Daughters of America and Friends of Music. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts where she received many awards for her efforts. She had many hobbies including camping, crocheting, gardening, photography, crafts, aquatic exercising, travelling and her dogs Bandit and Buckey.

Sister: Marilyn (Richard) Brentzel
Many grandchildren and great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Geno, son: Tim, son: Stephen, grandson: Cory, brother: LeRoy Hopkin
