Della E. Bernecki died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Columbus Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Della was born in Boone County, Nebraska to Leo and May (Bader) Kinzer on July 8, 1923. She spent her childhood living in the Albion area. She was the oldest daughter of 15 siblings and enjoyed helping her parents care for her younger siblings. Della graduated from Albion High School and moved to Columbus after her first marriage. She enjoyed living in the same house for 70 years. Della spent many years working in Columbus at Behlen Manufacturing and Dale Electronics. She was also a security guard for Pinkerton and S.I.S for many manufacturing plants in Columbus. Della met Tony Bernecki while working at Behlen Manufacturing. They were married in Las Vegas Nevada at the Little White Chapel on May 8, 1961. The couple enjoyed traveling for Tonys job to several places around the country and Mexico. Several trips included creating memories with Grandsons Mike and Matt and Granddaughter Denise. After retirement Della continued to do security work into her late 70s. Della enjoyed many hobbies over the years including ceramics, crafts and gardening/lawn decorations. She was a collector of many things throughout the years. Della was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus.

Great Grandchildren: Heidi (Dave) Erwin, Brittany (Bryson Thurman) White, Kayla (Ian) Tuttle, Lynzee Harouff, Ashley Harouff, Jessica Tschantre, Manny Izguirre, and Elek Izguirre
Great Great Grandchildren: Ty White, Keira White, Evie Thurman, and Alexa Erwin
Siblings: Judy Kinzer Harouff, Virgina Kinzer Micek, Lou Kinzer Hopkins, Don Kinzer, Sharon Kinzer Heller, Ardith Kinzer Redler, Beverly Kinzer Dischner, and Beloit Bunk Kinzer
