Dean A. Kallenbach, age 65, of rural Bellwood, Nebraska died Monday September 2, 2002 at his home. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday September 5, 2002 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bellwood with Reverend Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be in the Bellwood Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus and after 7:45 p.m. Wednesday with an 8:00 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Peter's Church. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until service time also at the church.
Dean A. Kallenbach was born December 2, 1936 in Rising City, Nebraska to Clint and Maude (From) Kallenbach. He graduated from Bellwood High School. On August 6, 1955 he married Lorene E. Schmit. Dean lived in the Bellwood area his entire life. He worked for Becton - Dickinson until retiring in 1992 after 37 years of service. He served as mayor of Bellwood, was an inactive member of the Bellwood Firemen, member of the Bellwood Ball Association, Columbus Men's Bowling Association, and the N.R.A.
