David A. Korus

David A. Korus, age 75, of Genoa died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

David A. Korus was born January 19, 1935 in rural Monroe, Nebraska to Alois "Slim" and Josephine (Zabawa) Korus. He served in the Army National Guard prior to serving the the U.S. Army from December 1955 - December 1957. David married Rosemary Siemek on May 28, 1960 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. He lived and farmed in Platte County his entire life. David was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Holy Name Society and was past president of the Parish Council. He enjoyed deer hunting, polka music and spending time with his family. His grandchildren thought the world of him.
