David Kopetzky of Kearney, Nebraska died Sunday, September 20, 2009 while working in Wisconsin Dells.
David R. Kopetzky was born July 27, 1944 in Columbus to Ralph and Irene (Staroscik) Kopetzky. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1962 and then graduated from UNL with a degree in accounting. David married Karen Wellman on April 30, 1966 at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Howells. He lived in Omaha, Norfolk, Central City and was currently living in Kearney where he was working as a sales representative for Ag Dryer Services in Elm Creek. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus in Norfolk. David enjoyed NASCAR, Husker Football, traveling, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by:
Daughter: Kristin L. (John) Brichacek of Waterloo, NE
Daughter: Ann V. (Joel) Kirby of Lincoln, NE
Brother: Alan (Theresa) Kopetzky of Omaha, NE
Grandchildren: Evan, Katie, Shane & Kelli Brichacek of Waterloo, NE and Hunter Kirby of Lincoln, NE
Niece: Elizabeth Kopetzky of Omaha, NE
He was preceded in death by his parents.
