David Joseph Eller

David died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident east of Columbus.

David Joseph Eller was born June 19, 1955 in David City, Nebraska to Leo and Helen (Shonka) Eller. He graduated from David City Aquinas in 1974 and then from Southeast Community College - Milford in 1976. David married Anita Konz on July 1, 1978 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. The couple lived in Columbus and recently celebrated their 33rd Wedding Anniversary. David worked as a diesel mechanic at Columbus Truck & Repair for many years. He then worked for Garretson Equipment, Case Power & Equipment, Red Country International, Sherwin Williams, Cliff Veissman Trucking, B.M.C. Transportation, Nelsen Transportation and other full & part-time jobs until he became owner & operator of Thunderbolt Trucking. David enjoyed John Wayne movies, polka music and collecting Case tractors. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed family vacations. David loved driving his semi on the open road and seeing the country. His passion was working on his truck, which was his pride and joy.
