David (Dave) Eisenmenger, 74, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Bonaventure Church. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial is in the All Saints Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.
Dave was born to Ralph and Eleanor (Foltz) Eisenmenger on March 13, 1944, in Humphrey, Nebraska. He attended the seminary from 1958 – 1960, and graduated in 1962 from St. Francis High School. Dave was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard from October of 1963 – April of 1964. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church for 52 years and also served as an Usher. He operated Dave's Mobile Home Service, managed M & H Gas Station and Derby Station and operated D & K Enterprises until his retirement in 2011. Dave was a handyman and always had a project to work on or build. He was always there to help his family, no matter what the need was, and loved working in his "man cave."
