Darwin Brandt

Darwin E. Brandt, age 71 of Columbus died, Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is 4-8 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home and 8:30 until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.

Darwin Emil Brandt was born September 17, 1934 in Scribner, Nebraska to William and Edna (Kurz) Brandt. He moved to Columbus in 1938 with his family. He received his education at Immanuel Lutheran School. He was married to Patricia Foltz. He later married Myrna Stingley. Darwin was employed at Lyman-Richey for many years until his retirement in 1996. His favorite past times were fishing, hunting, horse races and auctions.
