Darold &Quot;Ole&Quot; Olson

Darold B. "Ole" Olson, age 77, of Columbus, Nebraska died Friday October 18, 2002 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday October 22, 2002 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to donors choice.

Darold B. Olson was born May 14, 1925 in Columbus, Nebraska to Emil and Anna (Borchers) Olson. He graduated from Kramer High School in 1943. Darold served as a Radio Man 2nd Class in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII from August 1943 to April 1946. He married Florence M. Mimick on October 26, 1948 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Darold worked at Becton-Dickinson for 31 years from June 1954 to June 1985 when he retired. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus #938, Perpetual Adoration, Hartman Post #84 American Legion, D.A.V., Red Cross and the Becton-Dickinson Alumni Association.
