Darlene Nelson

Darlene W. Nelson, age 74, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday February 23, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday February 26, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Columbus with Reverend Tom Washington officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church. Memorials may be directed to Donors Choice.

Darlene W. Nelson was born June 11, 1928 in Petersburg, Nebraska to Harold and Nora (Worden) Munsinger. She attended school in Petersburg. On June 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Bernard Nelson in Fremont, Nebraska. The couple lived in Columbus where Darlene worked for Becton-Dickinson, A & M Veterinarian Clinic, and Dale Electronics. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Nebraska State Genealogical Society, and Kinseekers. Darlene enjoyed woodcarving, pottery restoration, collecting antiques, genealogical studies, and computer work.
