Darlene Kosinski of Columbus died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Darlene Lois Kosinski was born April 7, 1938, in Fairplay, Colorado, to Cyril & Ida (Jones) Jarrett. She had 4 siblings: Betty, Donna, Cyril and Kenneth. She attended school at Kirk and Red Top Country School in Colorado.
In 1955, Darlene married Jack Murphy and they resided on a farm at Sedgwick, CO. They moved to Holyoke, CO, in 1959. They had six children: Rick, Ralph, Rodney, Ronda, Rochelle and Ranae. They moved to Yuma, CO, in 1978, where they owned several businesses through the years.
Darlene married Robert Kosinski in 1987. They moved to Columbus, Nebraska to be closer to Roberts family. Darlene loved her family and that was always the most important part of her life. Darlene enjoyed spending time with Robert and riding on the truck. She enjoyed many hobbies like fishing with Robert, gardening, sewing and making crafts.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Robert Kosinski of Columbus, NE, her son, Rick & Terri Murphy, of Overland Park, KS, her son, Ralph & Shelley Murphy of Littleton, CO, her son, Rodney Murphy and Shanna Worm of Columbus, NE, her daughter, Ronda Murphy and Jim Corcilius of Galena, KS, her sister, Betty Himes of Yuma, CO, sister Donna Veca of Haxtun, CO, brother Kenneth & Carol Jarrett of Sedgwick, CO, sister-in-laws, Angie Ziemba and Cathy & Rick Folken of Columbus, NE. Darlene had 8 grandchildren: Heather, Justin, Christina, Molly, Jacqueline, Melissa, Larissa and Doran. She had 2 great grandchildren: Braysen & Merrick. Darlene had many nieces and nephews as well.
She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Rochelle & Ranae Murphy, her father, Cyril Jarrett, her mother, Ida Yoder, her step-father, Clayton Yoder, her father-in-law, Walter Kosinski, her mother-in-law, Helen Kosinski and brother, Cyril Jarrett.
