Darlene Hentges of Columbus died Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Darlene Hentges was born April 12, 1939 in Hays, Kansas to George and Hilda (Rupp) Bollig. She was raised in Kansas before moving to Columbus during high school. Darlene graduated from St. Bonaventure School in 1956. On February 8, 1958 she was united in marriage to John Hentges at St. Bonaventure Church. Darlene raised her family and worked at Dale Electronics, the Post Office, Becton-Dickinson, and taught swim lessons at the Aquatic Center. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and did volunteer work at the nursing home. She enjoyed puzzles, playing scrabble, cards, and dominoes.
