Daniel Stachura was born June 27, 1929 in Platte County to Joseph and Mary (Startz) Stachura. He was raised in Platte County and attended St. Stanislaus School in Duncan. Dan was a farmer and worked as a mechanic for International Harvester for 18 years. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and had served in the Army National Guard.
