Daniel Schroeder, age 55, of Omaha, Nebraska died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2006 at McKown Funeral Home with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating . Inurnment will follow at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus.
Daniel Schroeder was born March 16, 1951 in Columbus, Nebraska to Francis L. and Beverly M. (Rich) Schroeder. He was a 1969 graduate of Columbus High School and a 1971 graduate of Platte Junior College. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1973 with a degree in history. Mr. Schroeder was employed in the custodial industry. An avid reader, he enjoyed researching the history of the Union Pacific Railroad, collecting WWII memorabilia, was a gourmet cook and loved spending time with his friends and family.

Sister: Patricia (Mrs. Michael) Rea of Schuyler, NE
Sister: Mary (Mrs. Dale) Novak of Clarkson, NE
