Daniel R. Kralik, 60, of Columbus died Sunday January 20, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services are 10:30 am on Thursday January 24 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation begins on Wednesday after 4 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 7 pm at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Thursday from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.
Daniel R. Kralik was born November 27, 1941 in Wahoo to Rudy and Alice (Kacirek) Kralik. He lived on the farm in David City until he was 8 and moved to Madison. He graduated from Madison High School and Norfolk Junior College. He worked for the Singer Company in Norfolk. He married Bonnie Nelson on November 18, 1967 in Orient, IA. He lived and worked in various towns throughout Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska. Dan came to Columbus where he has lived for the past 30 years. He owned and operated Kralik Sew & Vacuum Center/Dan's Used Cars with his wife and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family cookouts, and going to the casinos. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Eagles Club, and had been in the Army National Guard.
