Daniel L. Jochum of Columbus died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Norfolk.
Daniel L. Jochum was born December 8, 1933 in Petersburg, NE to Arthur and Josephine (Brackle) Jochum. He grew up in Norfolk and received his education at Sacred Heart High School and Norfolk Junior College. He was united in marriage to Ruth Walz on January 2, 1954 at St. Patrick Church in Battle Creek, NE. He moved to Columbus in 1968 where he owned and operated Larson Florine Clothing Store until he retired in December of 1998. He was an avid golfer and was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dan also served in the Nebraska National Guard for 27 years achieving the rank of Colonel.

Daughter Margaret Ciurej of Stephens City, VA
Son Greg Jochum of Columbus
Son Richard (Pam) Jochum of Dakota Dunes, SD
Son Howard Jochum of Falls City, NE

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
