On February 4th, 2019 Dale was called home after a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Military Honors will be conducted by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.
Dale "Lynn" Daniels was born February 5th, 1946 in Columbus, NE to Albert and Florence Daniels. On December 6th, 1965, Dale enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he fought courageously in the Vietnam War. Dale was honorably discharged after four years of service to his country on December 5th, 1969. In May 1983 he was united in marriage to Jody (Cox) Daniels. Throughout his time on earth Dale enjoyed making people laugh, being outdoors and spending time with his loving family. Those who knew him got to witness the kind heart and infectious laugh that made him unique. Although he was often ornery, you never doubted how much he loved you.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jody (Cox) Daniels of Bellwood, Nebraska. His sons: Greg (Jacque) Wesolek of Long Beach, California, Corey (Kayla) Allmendinger of Fremont, Nebraska, Chris Scheel of Columbus, Nebraska. Daughter: Amanda (Jason) Veik of Humphrey, Nebraska. He is also survived by a brother, Alan Daniels of Columbus and a sister Maureen (Ron) Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona. He has 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a niece, and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Daniels, his father, Albert Daniels, his mother-in-law Bonnie Cox, father-in-law Mel Cox, his first wife Betty Wesolek and many life long friends.
