Cyril "Moon" Dreifurst died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home in Columbus.
Cyril Dreifurst was born July 9, 1933 in St. Bernard, NE to Lawrence and Agnes (Schmitz) Dreifurst. He grew up in the Lindsay area where he attended Lindsay Holy Family Schools. Moon served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Following his discharge he worked as a mailman in California. Moon moved to Columbus where he worked construction. Moon was united in marriage to Charlotte Paproski on June 3, 1961 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church. He was the co-founder of Platte Valley Construction Company from which he retired at the age of 69. Moon loved his family. He attended all of his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and looked forward to his annual father/son fishing trip. Moon always had a very strong faith and a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary that carried him throughout his life. He loved to golf, play cards and shoot pool. Moon was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
