Curtis G. Tenopir of Columbus died Monday, August 10, 2009 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Curtis G. Tenopir was born September 19, 1957 in Lincoln, NE to Marvin & Hazel (Thelander) Tenopir. He grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1975. Curt received his Associates Degree from Southeast Community College in Milford. On April 29, 1978 he was united in marriage to LouAnn Kula at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Curt worked for Dale Electronics (Vishay) for over 30 years.
Curt was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and past Grand Knight of Council 9264. Curt served on the Scotus school board was Past President of the Rifle Club. He was a member of the Son's of the American Legion, the Sea Bees and was an Eagle Scout. He was an avid supporter of Scotus activities and coached Little League baseball and midget football when his son Nathan was growing up. He enjoyed NASCAR, Civil War history, Nebraska Football, and woodworking.
