Craig Matthew Kozak, 19, of Columbus died Sunday March 25, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services are 10:30 am Thursday March 29 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Christopher Grimmond officiating. Visitation is after 4:00 pm Wednesday at St. Anthony Church. There will be a Vigil/Rosary service at 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Church. Visitation will continue from 8:00-10:00 am Thursday at McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.
Craig was born January 24, 1982 in Omaha to Paul & JoAnn (Czuba) Kozak. He attended St. Anthony Elementary School, Columbus Middle School, and graduated from Columbus High School in 2000. He finished his first year of College at Southeast Community College in Lincoln and was planning on transferring to University of Nebraska-Lincoln to complete his degree in business and finance.
Craig was a part-time employee at First Nebraska Bank in Columbus and at Quail Run. He was a full time employee at Wells Fargo Bank in Lincoln. He enjoyed many sports and loved to hunt and golf. He was a member of St. Anthony Church in Columbus where he also served as an altar boy.
Craig is survived by his parents, three brothers; Chad of Lincoln, Don of Syracuse, and Brian of Lincoln, one niece; Alyssa Kozak of Syracuse, grandparents; Alphonse & Leona Kozak of Columbus, and many aunts and uncles. Craig is preceded in death by his grandparents Louis & Frances Czuba.
Memorials may be left to the wishes of the family.
