Connie M. Brown, 67, of Columbus died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services are 10:30 am Friday, August 19, 2005 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. David Fulton and Rev. Joseph Miksch officiating. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Thursday at St. Bonaventure Church with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm, also at the church. Visitation continues Friday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in the Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon, Nebraska at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Gibbon Good Samaritan Center, Scotus High School, or to the St. Bonaventure Grade School.



Connie Marcene Brown was born August 25, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado to Cliff and Wanda (Widup) Richardson. Connie graduated from Gibbon High School and from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. On June 14, 1958 she was united in marriage to Keith W. Brown in Kearney. She lived in Kearney, Axtell, and Ruskin before moving to Columbus in 1960. Connie taught school for over 20 years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Mixed Choir, and the St. Bonaventure Guild. Her hobbies included volunteering at Citizen Advocacy Services, Center for Survivors, and at the Columbus Art Gallery. She enjoyed bead crafting, visiting Colorado, reading, and singing.



She is survived by:
