Coletta Paprocki was born November 7, 1932, in Humphrey to Joe and Mary Zach. She grew up as part of a large family on a farm in Humphrey. On May 8, 1951, she married Stanley Paprocki at St. Mary's Church in rural Humphrey.
Coletta was blessed with 13 kids. More than creating a family, she created a family of families as she also had 28 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and Avila Colette Hall is due any minute. From her arrival in Columbus in 1967 until the 2020’s one of her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren attended St. Isidore’s grade school. After their school day, those kids would spend their afternoons with Colletta.
Coletta fed more than just her family. Upon moving to Columbus, Coletta worked as a waitress at Leopard Cafe (now Godfathers). She was famous for the pies she baked for Stack and Steak. But she most loved volunteering in the cafeteria at St. Isidore’s where she could see the school kids every day. When she could no longer feed the children, she enjoyed feeding the birds that flocked to her bird feeder daily.
