Colby J. Greiner, 40, of Henderson, NV, passed away on October 17, 2023, as a result of a cycling accident.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is Friday from 5-7 P.M. with 7 P.M. vigil service, all at the church. Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9-10 A.M. at the church. Burial is in All Saints Cemetery

In lieu of plants and flowers, the family suggests memorials be designated to the donor's choice.

Colby was born on May 26,1983 in Columbus Ne. to Jim and Karen (Sackett) Greiner Beck. He attended Saint Isidore Catholic Grade School, Scotus Central Catholic High School and graduated from Rising City High School in 2002. After High School, Colby went on to get a degree in construction management from Southeast Community College in Milford Ne. He then set off for Big Sky Montana to start his career in construction management. After eight years in Montana, Colby had the opportunity to move to Henderson, NV where he worked with his father in the insurance industry. His success in the business moved him to become sole owner.

Colby was a very adventurous person and loved the outdoors. In his younger years he played baseball, football, soccer, and golf. He enjoyed skiing and hunting. When Colby moved to Nevada, he took up cycling. He really excelled in the sport. He won many competitive U.S. races.

Colby passed away doing what he truly loved.

He is survived by his parents:
Karen Beck of Columbus, NE
Jim (Leana) Greiner of Henderson, NV
Sister: Shauna (Eric) Flach of Park City, UT
Brother: Ryan (Schuyler) Greiner of St. Paul, MN
Sister: Shelby (Joe) Zeleny of Gretna, NE
Nieces and Nephews: Brennan, Cohen, Tatum, and Hadley Flach, Korbin Nickolite, Kallie, and Gracie Zeleny,
Many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well a large family of cyclists

He was preceded in death by grandparents:
Bud and Joan Sackett, Ken and Betty Greiner, and stepfather Gene Beck
