Clyde Jenkinson, age 83, of Columbus died Friday, January 19, 2018 at his home in Columbus.
Clyde Arthur Jenkinson was born to James and Ruby (Bean) Jenkinson in Powers County, Colorado on February 22, 1934. On September 13th, 1953 he married Joan Osborn at Pleasant Heights Church in rural Lamar, Colorado. They moved to rural Columbus in 1960 where they farmed until 1970. They moved into Columbus where he operated Jenkinson and Son Trucking until his retirement in 2017. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Clyde enjoyed riding horses, hunting, playing checkers, and spending time with family.
Clyde is survived by: children Shirley (Mike) Koch, Karen (Jerry) Anderson, James (Kathy) Jenkinson all of Columbus, Clark (Sheila) Jenkinson of Stanton, and Carolyn (Andrew) Olson of Leigh, daughters-in-law, Pat (Arthur) Jenkinson and Barbara Jenkinson of Columbus. Sisters Norma Fricke of Columbus and Betty Cortez of Omaha. 33 grandchildren, and 48 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, son, Arthur, brother Alvin, and sisters, Opal Walcott and Nora Van Riper.
