Clifford Stopak of Columbus died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Bryan LGH-West in Lincoln.
Clifford Stopak was born July 9, 1941 in Fullerton, NE to Louis and Elizabeth (Knopik) Stopak. He grew up on a farm by Fullerton and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1958. Cliff entered the US Army from 1959 to 1961. On October 6, 1962 he was united in marriage to Louise Lassek in Fullerton. They moved to Columbus in 1964. Cliff worked for Cornhusker Public Power until he retired after 41 years of service there. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and Hartman Post #84 American Legion. Cliff was an avid horse racing fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed working in his yard, playing cards, and visiting with friends and relatives.
