Clemens Wennekamp, age 89, of Columbus died Friday, March 20, 2015 at Mory's Haven in Columbus

Clemens Wennekamp was born March 27, 1925 in Creston, Nebraska to George and Marie (Groteluschen) Wennekamp. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and two years of high school at District #10. He married Alice (Smith) Schrier on February 23, 1963. His early years were spent farming and painting. He entered the U.S. Army at Ft. Riley, Kansas and served 18 months in the China, Burma and India Theatres in the Dismounted Calvary and Military Police. He did car body repair for Mikes Auto for 16 years and Cerny Body Shop until semi-retirement in 1992.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice in 1999
