Clarence W. Boss, age 91, of Grand Island, formerly of Columbus, died Wednesday at the Grand Island Veteran Home.
Clarence was born January 19, 1921 in Bennett, Colorado to John and Clara (Gerber) Boss. He married Vivian Rosenberry on October 17, 1945 in Columbus, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army from 1942-45. He was stationed in Europe and Africa. Clarence continued serving in the Army National Guard for 19 years as a chief mechanic. He lived in Lincoln and Columbus before moving to the Veterans Home in Grand Island. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by: son: Terry (Karen) Boss of Lincoln, daughter: Marla Krumtum of Lincoln, daughter: Diana (Jim) Lofink of Ft. Collins, CO, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Vivian, brothers: Glen Boss Sr. and Edward Boss.
