Clara Shemek passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Osceola, Nebraska. She had finished her dinner and while the staff was preparing her for the night she passed away quietly.
Clara was born February 6, 1930, near Duncan, NE. She was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Czarnek) Plebanek. She married Alois J. Shemek, the son of Louis and Stacia Shemek on May 9th, 1950, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Duncan, NE. They were married for 56 years. She will be missed by her dear friends and especially Mary Casey and Edna Sutko.
She is survived by her sister, Stella Sleddens of Columbus, NE; and her son Myron Shemek of Spring, TX.
Her interment will be at U.S. Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX. Beside her dear Alois.
Memorials in her memory may be sent in care of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Duncan, NE, 68634 or to the charity of your choice.
