Clara Micek

Clara T. Micek, 89, of Omaha died Saturday February 23, 2002 at Mercy Care Center in Omaha. Funeral services are 10:00 pm Wednesday February 27, 2002 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Clarks with the Rev. Don Cleary officiating. Visitation will after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Church in Clarks with a Vigil service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 9 am until service time at the Church. Burial will be in the Clarks Cemetery.

Clara T. Micek was born April 28, 1912 in Genoa, Nebraska to John S. and Josie (Klimek) Tomasiewicz. She attended Nance County School. On November 15, 1937 Clara was united in marriage to Frank Micek at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Krakow, rural Genoa. The couple lived and farmed north of Clarks until Frank's death on August 15, 1961. Clara moved to Omaha for a short time before returning to Clarks where she was the housekeeper for Fr. John Korus. In 1965 she moved back to Omaha where she has resided since. While living in Omaha she was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, gardening, and her family.
