Cindy was born September 15, 1965 to Paul and Shirley (Janssen) Wagner in Central City, Nebraska. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Central City. The family then moved to Polk where Cindy attended Polk Public schools. Upon graduating, Cindy attended the School of Beauty and worked as a beautician for several years. She ended up having a change of heart in careers and worked as an X-ray tech, and most recently was working with the Physical Therapy Department at Genoa Medical Facilities.

Cindy was married in 1985 to Dave Lewis. To this union, her daughter Taylor was born and two sons were adopted: Anthony and Zach.

On September 29, 2007, Cindy married Brad Cromwell of Genoa, Nebraska. To this union, their daughter Elle was born.

Cindy was an active member of Augustana Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the choir as well as a mentor in Sunday School and other activities. Anyone that knew Cindy knew what a kind heart she had. She instantly brightened any room that she entered. Between her gardening/canning skills and her home-made deer jerky (from the deer that she shot and butchered), no one ever went hungry or thirsty when she was around. She had a gift for hosting. She loved making others happy in any way that she could, and she made it look easy to love everyone around her equally.

Together as a family, they had a passion for jeeping, camping, spending time with good friends, and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. Cindy made sure to LIVE her life every moment that was possible, even in her final days. She never gave up her passion for life, and her legacy will live on through Brad, Taylor and Elle in the years to come. She will always be remembered as the Best Mom Ever and she will be deeply missed by all.
